Being fortunate enough to work in the finance department gives you a helicopter view of the business. You get to see from end to end the flow of goods from design/manufacture all the way to sale and payment in and out of the warehouse. This allows you to engage with all functions across the organisation and understand how each function impacts everyone else in the flow from procurement to payment, and most importantly so we all understand how to constantly improve. The most enjoyable thing about working in finance is the people. The finance team are driven and have fantastic attitudes. There is lots of collaboration and creating best practice harmoniously with other departments. This ensures that we are constantly striving to be better and that no two days are ever the same.
